Because knitting is nourishing – and women facing cancer need nourishing – we are teaching beginner’s knitting classes at Carolina Breast Friends. This summer, staff and customers knitted and crocheted over 50 hats for Carolina Breast Friend members. In talking with the executive director about how knitting helped her through cancer treatment, I decided as my ministry I would teach those interested in learning this wonderful craft.
Cottage Yarn is donating all materials needed to learn the basics of knitting. I invite our customers to donate spare change toward this effort by placing donations in the “Little Pink House” at the check out desk.
Presently, classes are being taught the second Thursday night each month from 6-7:30pm at their location.
Starting today and ending Sunday, October 9th (Yarn Crawl Dates) all non-sale yarns are 10% off regular price! Each day we will have a special for that day only.
