Knitted Mittens

The pattern used for this class is LOOSELY based on Knitty’s “Fetching” mitts but only for the cables at the bottom and the way the thumb is started.  Great first mitten project – learn cables and knitting the thumb for all gloves/mittens.

Class dates are Saturdays, Jan. 14 & 21, 1-3pm.  Cost is $35 plus materials.

Join us Saturday, January 28th from 10:30am – 1:30pm for a fantastic workshop with Kathy.  This workshop is geared toward those who already know the basic stitches of crocheting and are ready to take it to the next level.  You will learn how to combine the basics to begin a project while learning to read a pattern or chart.   If you have a pattern you’ve been wanting to start, bring it with you – Kathy can get you started.  Otherwise, she will have a project ready to begin.    (Bring a snack with you if you like)  Cost is $30 + materials.

Socks on DPN’S

Join us for one of our classes knitting socks on double point needles.  Fridays, Jan. 13, 20 & 27; 10-11:30am  or on Saturdays in January on the 7th, 14th or 21st at the same time – 10-11:30am.  Cost is $45 + materials (10% discount on class yarns).

Using double pt. needles to knit socks is much easier than it looks – the perfect method for beginners!

Book Signing with Tamela Rich

Our own Tam Rich, whom many of you already know, will be signing copies of her book, Live Full Throttle: Life Lessons from Friends Who Faced Cancer, at the Cottage during Tuesday Night Knitting Tuesday, December 6th from 5pm – 8pm.
Tam based the book on two years of riding her motorcycle across the US and Canada with other women committed to the breast cancer cause.
